Junction Elementary School
Junction Elementary School takes its name from the pages of Roseville’s history. In 1864, in what is now present day Roseville, the Central Pacific Railroad’s east line crossed the California Central line. The crew called the place where the tracks intersected Junction. It wasn’t until about 40 years later that the city of Roseville was incorporated, and the name changed. Naming our school Junction reminds us of the strong influence the railroads have played in the history of our City.
Today our students share a pride for our city’s history, and for their school. We are the Junction Jaguars, and we are focused on providing our students with a well-rounded education. Our goal is to provide all of our students with the knowledge necessary to be successful in school and in life. We focus on strong academics, leadership skills and life skills that will serve our student’s and their families well into the future.
Leader In Me School
Junction Elementary School is the home of the Junction Jaguars! We opened in 2008 and have grown to over 750 students in Transitional Kindergarten through 5th grade. We have a dedicated, loving staff that maintains a high level of academic rigor for our students. Our mission is “to develop lifelong leaders, one child at a time, in a nurturing, academic community.”
In 2010, Junction began the process of becoming a Leader in Me School. Through teaching students the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey, we are able to guide our students in becoming leaders in their lives and make contributions in the lives of others.
By developing the whole child, both academically and personally, we create an atmosphere that is caring, compassionate, and principle-centered. Our students are able to become personal leaders in their own lives and learn to find their voice in our community. We are preparing our children to be flexible, resourceful, honest, focused and proactive in their lives, developing the skills and habits necessary to be successful in our changing economy.
